Depth is what you are paying for
A piling holds because of how deep it is, not how thick. Getting it to depth in sand, in marl or in rock are three different machines and three different days.
Replacing one is not replacing the dock
A single failed piling can usually be cut out and replaced under a standing dock. It is worth asking before anyone quotes you a rebuild.

Draw it out over the water and pick a width. Priced by the square foot of deck.
Dock repair
Stringers, bracing and hardware put right where the deck has gone soft.
Re-decking
New boards on a frame that is still sound. Priced by the square foot.
Seawall
Draw the shoreline. Priced by the foot — a seawall has no width.
Boat lift
Sized to the boat, not to the dock. Priced as an installed unit.
Davits
For a small boat or a jet ski where a full lift is more than you need.
